Pakistan By Road
The landscape of Pakistan ranges from lofty mountains in the north, through dissected plateaus to the rich alluvial plains ,to hot dry deserts of the south blending into miles of golden beaches of Mekran coast. The country is bounded to the west by Iran, to the southeast by India, Afghanistan to the north-west, and China to the northeast and the Arabian Sea to the south. The great mountain ranges of the Himalayas, the Karakorum’s and the Hindu Kush form Pakistan’s northern highlands of North West Frontier Province and the Gilgit-Baltistan. Punjab province is a flat with five major rivers dominating the upper region eventually joining the River Indus flowing south to the Arabian Sea. Sindh is bounded to the east by the Thar Desert and the Rann of Kutch and to the west by the Kirthar range. Baluchistan Plateau is an arid tableland, encircled by dry mountains. Pakistan can easily be explored by road . A number of tourists enter Pakistan from Khunjerab Pass in the Gilgit Baltistan province and travel along the Indus down to Karachi.
